Much of Adeodatus life is as gray as the night sky when it storms. Born in a small cave u top a deserted mountain his mother died in labor leaving him alone in the world. The baby wept and his cries were heard by all around an eagle disturbed in its nest came to the cave. Seeing the child in dismay it clutched it in its beak and carried it to the small village at the base of the mountain. There he placed it on the door step of the Shrine of Zeus. That night a storm rolled through and the baby was left outside till morning’s light. The morning bells rang through the mountains as the heavy marble doors slid open and the monks stepped out to discover the babe. Adeodatus was taken in and raised as a child of the order and brought up to worship, respect and fear the God’s. At the age of 8 a terrible earth quake shook the land and the town was destroyed under its power leaving Adeodatus the sole survivor. Lifting his tiny body from the rubble the God’s blessed him one last time as a trail of eagle feathers laid before him. Following them it led the young Adeodatus to the Greek camp where he spent the rest of his years training and learning the ways of the God’s waiting for the day he would be claimed.
